Not so unexpected, as if you are stashing precious metals/ gold coins, one does not need to advertise to the world that they have valuables in the house, to avoid robbery. (Like we don't display our treasures on a platform such as Steemit) But to just place them randomly in drawers and cupboards, it is a bit out-of-character.
