ENVIRONMENTAL PRESSURE
Problems emerge here too where we have environment limiting us from taking a step. Environmental pressures like parents, siblings, friends and sometimes the society you find yourself.
PARENT
The most powerful environmental force that might limit us from taking a step is the parent. We have so many students on campus reading a career course to satisfy his/her parent, a friend of mine reading computer engineering but loves economics, hmm, that’s not where I am driving at but I am just using this instance to explain how powerful their force might be. Does it mean that we don’t have a mind of our own? No, It is believed that they understand the world more than we do, that’s the reason why they have a go on us so easily but if the step you are about to take is the right step, (know virtually that no step is right from the start, you make it right with your resilience, persistence and optimism) you will always find a way of maneuvering the hindrance.
It took a boy some years before securing admission, all his friends and age ranks were already in school, humiliation came from parent, comparison with admitted students set in, he knew how to do nothing in the sight of his parent; the boy wanted to learn a instrument(keyboard) during this time but due to humiliation coming from the parent, he couldn’t but he loved it, so he started learning without the consent of the mother and later she knew about it but didn't utter a word. The mom's silence gave the boy so many interpretations because her silence is communicating but think that she'd blurt it out when the time comes. One day, his mother was pissed off seeing her boy, her first born at home learning an ill-godforsaken keyboard while all his peers are already excelling in school in their field of studies, with that, she gave him a strict warning that she doesn't want to see that keyboard inside her house again.
The boy though downcasted obliged to what she said and took the keyboard back to church. The boy has been learning the keyboard with battery and God so good they brought the light the following day mum gave him the warning. He solely obliged by not bringing in the keyboard but the light has been on for hours and no dimlight of his mother. He then took the risk of bringing the keyboard and he told himself that 30mins of rehearsal would have a long way to go and he would quickly return the keyboard to church. So he went to bring the keyboard, but alas! Immediately he plugged the keyboard, laid his hands on keyboard, mum arrived...
