Up well before 🌄 (here), my brother, and "in here" for a short time, I find myself a bit hesitant ...
"So what positives are you seeing in the midst of the coronavirus gloom?"
... to respond to your weekly question. Does this question not reveal the many ways in which our Lord has gifted us @nextgen622? For me, the answer to my own question is an emphatic "Yes!," as my focus over these last weeks is not on what is positive, but on what is true.
In the midst of the "fire," this interesting story came out about a past President. And his reaction to what happened to America in 1918. And, while some progress was made, it fell short. And ... Here we are ... Which simply brings me back to what is true ...
So ... What do I "see:"
- America, as well as the rest of the world, is in the beginning stages of finding out the limitations of the Almighty State presenting itself as Savior ... [Question: How did America / the world respond in 1918 vs. 2020? Why the difference?]
- Idolatry has long been the bane of fallen man's existence, in the eyes of His Creator. Powerful, "omnipresent" idols in our time are Comfort and Security. We will all find out soon enough, what is left of them, once "the dust has settled" ...
- The true Church will be ever more clearly revealed in the midst of this time of trial and tribulation.
That's enough ... Simply put, God has ordained what is happening now. I would question the eternal destiny of anyone who would suggest otherwise. The question before us all is how will we respond?
