meaning the lessons and challenges continue coming our way, perhaps through different people?

Certainly. Sometimes different lessons through different people, sometimes the same lessons - whether they need a repeat or retest.

I suppose I know when something no longer has a claw in me (I've learned my lesson--in a good way) is when I can observe (in a very calm way), really see and hear the other and where they're operating from and have compassion for them as another human/spirit, but also no longer allow (or even perhaps engage in) the tearing down of my spirit. There is no need to explain this to a person who isn't meeting you at the same open level.

Sounds like an excellent indicator of being on the right track.

Betrayal seems to let us know when our own vibration/way of operating is not being met by the other, ie we are not being seen, heard, considered.

Perhaps sometimes. I'd imagine there are alot of different scenarios with different dynamics, this being one. Another that came to mind while reading this - and in the situation with my acquaintance - is that "betrayal" more a subjective experience as a consequence of unrealistic expectations...

One of Cory's most powerful teachings on the Formula For Truth was regarding relationships and how there's actual fields - a whole actual mathematic and metaphysical side to it all - whereby a person fits into the wider circumference of a total stranger we don't even know exists, further into the center as someone we know exists but don't know personally, further inwards to an acquaintance, then inwards into a friend, and then finally, in the smallest radius, a best friend. And, there's an actual process through which a person needs to move through these fields to have the relationship maintain stability, as in building rapport, trust, etc. Commonly, people will treat others they just met like friends - but it's mechanically a recipe for disaster, because the relationship's programming is actually at an acquaintance level...

Thus, alot of experience of "betrayal" comes when we thought we were closer with a person that we actually were energetically, exposed too much information, and it was used against us - as people in the friends field commonly do, simply by consequence of the nature of the field; whereas such information was actually only suitable to be shared with the rare best friend, where the level of trust was already built.

Really fascinating stuff. I wish he still had it up publicly available, as is some of the best content on social dynamics I've ever come across. This brief description barely does it justice.

And then... there are probably some other occasions, too, where there actually is a vibrational match on some level - perhaps such the cases where a person has low self-esteem or negative expectations, and then ends up manifesting/attracting circumstances that validate an unconscious belief system that they would be betrayed.

Though in any case, I suppose there may be an element of truth to your perspective offered - the experience being feedback to let us simply know there's a misalignment, whether that be a matter of its the other person who's out of integrity, it's ourselves that was out of alignment and thus attracting a less-than-great experience, or some combination of both.

it's been a struggle for me as well and also getting better at allowing myself that same compassion you write about above, that I'm operating in each moment truthfully to my full capabilities and until I really do believe that I've found I can and will continue to be triggered by the same situations/scenarios. Especially, when it comes so close to a lover and the ways in which we've opened to them.

Definitely primary lessons in Life School. And of course, always the biggest challenges in the most intimate relationships.

Probably this man's judgment of you is more a reflection of what he doesn't allow in himself more than it's anything about you personally.

I'm not sure how much is a reflection/projection, though I definitely don't take it personally. From what I knew of him before and recognizing patterns - many of which, I can see more clearly because I've had experience with them myself, particularly in the not-self of the open ajna center with the compulsivity towards certainty - I think it's more just of a "know it all" complex, like he's operating from a particular belief system he learned in Landmark Education, and there's some part of him that's had difficulty assessing that it was a time and place where it would've been more appropriate to engage in the conversation as a compassionate friend than try retain the position of some expert business guru, approaching everything from some dogmatic structure. Guess can never totally know for sure.

Your welcome.

It's always a pleasure to pass the torch... 😇💗
