I captured this image a couple of weeks ago at a rock pool by the sea.
The purpose of this shoot was to test out an 'ice light' that I made by freezing water in a condom and then attaching a black aluminium tube and a torch to the end (I'll add a pic of the tool below). I know it seems like a silly idea to use a condom but I wanted something to contain the ice (as the ice naturally had lots of cracks through it) and also allow light to pass through, so it was actually a great solution.
There was a bit of moonlight when I captured this and I was wearing black clothes so in the final exposure you could see a black blurry mess in the middle of the spiral shape (which was very distracting) so I used the clone tool in Photoshop to remove myself from the shot. The only other major adjustments I did was brighten the Milky Way a bit in Lightroom and that's it, job done.

The torch I attached to the ice was a Nitecore P26, which I used because it has precise dimming control, so I could set the brightness to a level that wouldn't overexpose due to the high ISO sensitivity of the camera.
