Goodbye clouds

To say goodbye
I needed a bank of clouds that would cushion my fall.

I needed pink, orange and, especially, blue veins to bandage a fracture and prepare the future.

It was good that the rain came to show you a better face and a cord made of mist to moisten my smile and to represent strength for you, the one you asked me for.

They came too
the branches of the pines to make handkerchiefs in goodbye.

I needed a lot of courage to write this to you,
which is not much but true.

There was much laughter in our delicate appointment, fragile to any attempt to think of a distant return.

I needed

all the years and mutual patience to be able to say goodbye, go home and cry afterwards, to throw my blessings and feel proud for you.

Now, you continue. Put your new dreams on the target and flip them.

I will try to replace the bolts as soon as possible.

This poem is a translation and adaptation of my original text in Spanish "Nubes en la despedida" which you can check in this link https://steemit.com/spanish/@rocoduran/nubes-en-la-despedida. The photography is my property. It is seen of what I saw on that day.

If you want to know a little more about me, I invite you to read my brief history and how I got here. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@rocoduran/it-is-an-attempt-to-defragment-me-and-the-arduous-task-of-describing-me
