Ecclesiastes 3:9-14
Nothing better than to be happy
There are some reason that people might not be happy
A. Burden for reponsibility (Num. 11:11- 14)
B. Guilt and shame (Psa. 35:4) (Psa. 6:10)
C. Defeated
D. Being Bored (tired)
E. Life is meaningless (toils) all efforts come to nothing
F. Life are miserable (No money, etc. Not paid bills.. etc..)
But what Solomon has seen these times:
Though people had burden God laid on men whole day of his toils. But he has seen that God made everything beatiful in its time: he said:" when times are good, be happy but when times are bad, consider; God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore a man cannot diacover anything about his future. (Ecc. 7:14) but solomon discover it. (Ecc. 1:13-14 ) all of them are meaningless.
The meaning and purpose are found on that which eternal
God wants to fill the eternity in our hearts with his own presence so that we can enjoy a true happiness
Solomon knew that there is nothing better for men
Than to be happy
Do good
To eat and drink
Find satisfaction on all his toil
Better to be happy because
- We find satisfaction in Christ Jesus (come to me who are weary and burdened and I will gave you rest (Matt. 11:28)
2.We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him (Rom. 8:28) - God never leave you not forsake you.
What can makes you happy?
A. Money?
B. New house?
C. Etc..
But 2 Cor. 4:18 all things that where seen are just temporary it means even your happiness are temporary but if your happiness is eternal then you will always be happy.
