I tested positive for COVID-19 about 2 weeks ago. I had been ill for about 10 days and recovered. I'm not vaccinated.
It started with fatigue, fever and headache. First 3 days were bad, but after that, fever subsided and headache was much reduced. Instead, I had a sore throat on day 3. From then on, it was like a mild flu and it lasted about a week. Additionally, sense of smell and taste was significantly reduced(though not completely lost).
I didn't take any medication because I couldn't get ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine. I didn't have chronic illness or significant health issues, so I thought I would be okay after a few days. I took vitamin C, vitamin D, and zinc supplements everyday. I also ate apples and grapes everyday.
Some of my vaccinated friends jokingly said that they were disappointed because my symptoms were not so serious although I wasn't vaccinated. I think the supplements and fruits helped a lot.
I still have a bit of fatigue. Sense of smell and taste is much better but not perfectly normal. I hope it will get better. Some say there is so-called "long COVID", lingering symptoms for months after initial infection. It remains to be seen if that will happen to me.
Anyway, I feel much better now. I think I'll continue to take vitamin/zinc supplements and eat fruits everyday. Thank you for reading, and stay healthy!
