Terrifying to behold, Deeplurkers are a poisonous fish that dwell at the bottom of the ocean and prey on the weak. However, they are known to travel to the surface in times of dire need. Many believe that they are sensitive to the balance of elemental water magic and, when that balance is in danger, the Deeplurkers rise to attack or defend it.

Stats

Because i fight in the gold league i use level 6 Deeplurker with poison. From this level it gets really good.

Ruleset and strategy

The important things first: The greatest problem for a melee focused water team is most of the time magic. But in "lost magic" this problem does not exist... good for me :)

The second rule was "Target practice". If my enemy want to benefit from this, he will use some range attacks. (SPOILER: He will^^) I for one ignore that part, because i want to use just melee monsters. That means all his range monsters will focus on my tank, which is fine as i will have a lot of armor.

Melee and range attacks will hit armor first, so i use Kelya Frendul as my summoner, with gives me more speed and one more armor.

My goal is to hit the enemy tank hard with two monsters, than to weaken the midline with poison and get rid of smaller monsters in the back. Slowing down my enemy is also great and works well with kelya. And last but not least, a small meatshield in the back to protect me from sneak.

The Battle

Round 1

Because of the opportunity the Deeplurker attacks the Serpentine Spy. He hit the armor but poisened him.

Round 2

image.png
The poison kills the Serpentine Spy. Free kill.

The next target with the lowest health will be the Spark Pixies.
Unfortunately only the armor was hit and no poison was applied.

Round 3

The Pixies are gone...

Round 4

Finishing off the Tower Griffin.

Round 5

Because of the preparation from the Pelacor Bandit the Diemonshark eats up the Fireballer.

Since my opponent was a few levels below me, it was more of an offensive fight. It was good to see that the Deeplurker has great potential in terms of attack, but you can't forget about armor. With Kelya he has 4 Speed and an extra 1 Armor. 7 life points also make him very survivable when he has to take a few hits.
For me the combination of Diemonshark, Squid and Deeplurker is always a real joy.
