Good evening, music lovers! Today, as usual, I bring you another birthday girl. And as on many previous occasions, I was not familiar with the band in which she stood out. Born on January 6, 1947, the English singer and songwriter was part of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention. Her name was Alexandra Elene MacLean Denny, but she was forever known as Sandy Denny. Victim of a fall at the age of 31, the artist did not survive the tragic accident that cut her life short... But she left behind several songs and recordings of her impressive voice. She sang a duet with Robert Plant on “The Battle of Evermore” for Led Zeppelin's album Led Zeppelin IV in 1971. Boa noite, amantes da música! Hoje trago-vos, para não variar mais uma aniversariante. E tal como em muitas anteriores vezes, eu não conhecia a banda em que a aniversariante se destacou. Nasceu em 1947, a 6 de Janeiro a cantora e compositora Inglesa, que fez parte da banda de rock folk Britânica "Fairport Convention". O seu nome era Alexandra Elene MacLean Denny, mas ficou para sempre conhecida como Sandy Denny. Vitima de uma queda aos seus 31 anos, a artista não sobreviveu ao trágico acidente que lhe encurtou a vida... Mas deixou, várias canções e registos da sua impressionante voz. Tendo feito um dueto com Robert Plant em "The Battle of Evermore", para o álbum Led Zeppelin IV, dos Led Zeppelin, em 1971. Acabei por escolher três canções do grupo que mais me tocaram. A primeira delas, a sua voz, trêmula, mas cheia de energia e originalidade, marca toda a faixa, não deixando ninguém indiferente. A segunda faixa é uma melodia que faz lembrar os temas clássicos de músicas intemporais que se cantam noite fora, nos pubs, ou mesmo em encontros ao serão... A terceira, fecha o ciclo...
