I’ve loved Dogecoin since 2014. The community has always been very accommodating to noobs and I was able to figure out the mining process thanks to dogecoiners. Especially back in that era when a huge portion of bitcoiners were unwelcoming tech-elitists, dedicated to antisocial ideologies and conspiracies, Dogecoin and its charitable work was a breath of fresh air.
Dogecoin proves that if an asset has all the necessary properties to be money, you could name it whatever you want. I like that the inflation will go on forever, encouraging spending and mining, but the RATE of inflation will continue to decrease forever. If people truly got behind this coin permanently, the infrastructure could be built out to the same level as bitcoin, and attract developers to the project, proving that bitcoin is nothing but a monetized meme as well.
And best of all, when people eventually lose, they will be entitled to zero sympathy, as we can all just laugh again and say “wtf did you expect YOLOing into something called ‘dogecoin?’”
