I actually HAVE been here! 10 years or so ago when I was still living back east my girlfriend and I drove straight from Boston to Percé in one grueling day of driving. Totally worth it, the Gaspé is just magical, no other way to put it. I really felt like I was in a whole different world once I got out there. I'd really like to make it out there again some day, I have such a fond memory of that trip.
Aside from that I used to go to Québec every summer and really miss that tradition. I love the land and I love the people, who truly celebrate the summers. I don't speak more than a dozen words of French but no one gave us a hard time and they seemed amused at my attempts to use the few phrases I know. Great people, great sights, a world away from everything else; there's no other place like it and no one believes the hype until they go...which most don't, lol! No problem, we'll keep the little secret.
Please, any more pics of the Gaspé would be greatly appreciated by at least one person here ;)
