There are so many restrictions and imposed practices in religious tomes across the world. Think of how many people could be habitually missing out on things that they love. They could also habitually be annoyed, saddened, or just overall unhappy due to all these imposed practices.
What makes it worse, is the likelihood that those laws, particularly the silly ones, are most likely made up bullshit. In fact, given the odds, it is HIGHLY likely that some people right here on steemit live lives that are dictated by old bogus religious scribbles. And why? All for fear of superstitious mumbo jumbo?
Yup, you could argue, "well what if those scribbles are true?" To that I could only respond "What the hell would god do, send you to hell for eating shellfish?" Of course shellfish is a minor example. What about someone who misses out on being with the love of their life, all because of imposed psychological baggage written by homophobic desert dwellers? Wouldn't that be the greater shame? Imagine the alternate reality where those people could have been happy...
