Greetings earth bipeds! I wanted to talk for a moment about your earth animals, why you should cherish them, and take care of them. Because of course you should! They are sweet, cuddly, and possessing of many positive characteristics :)
This beautiful kitty is an old friend of mine that I haven't seen in a good while, but he is my buddy! Once you befriend an animal, you have a friend for life. They are uncomplicated, and don't waste time with words. They will show you how much they love you, without pretense or prejudice. Animals are simple, but in their simplicity, they understand some basic things that we more complicated lifeforms often do not.
As curators of this planet, humans are not doing very well, often giving little consideration to the long term repercussions of their actions. Long before humans came along to mess everything up, animals managed to live, love, eat, and do a fine job curating this planet. They take no more than they need, they don't exploit the land for materialistic gain, and they have an ingrained appreciation of simple joyful sentiment. Take this little guy for example! He is not concerned with global domination and amassing material wealth, he is content with being petted :)
It is often ambitions that cause humans to overstep their bounds, and mistreat their planet. In cosmological terms that is a great crime, because habitable planets are rare and hard to find. As far as these animals are concerned, there are no such things as other planets. They only have this one to inhabit, at least as far as their understanding goes. One could say that their lower level of intelligence works to their advantage. Nope, no artificially constructed illusory status symbols, no massive destructive endeavors. A stray french fry is good enough...
Earth humans! Take care of your planet! You owe at least that much to your beautiful animals. If anything, you are threatening THEIR habitats with your greedy ambitions. Learn from them. Watch how they live in accordance with the land, rather than against it. They may be simpler in terms of intellect, but they have understood what you have not. Don't ruin your only planetary home...
