Well i believe that if someone causes someone else pain well they still deserve to be punished even after seeking for forgiveness from GOD,the reason is because if the person is not punished then that could encourage the person to keep hurting people and believe that he or she can simply just ask for forgiveness after doing the act without any consequences...
