It is now our 36th day of semi-lockdown. Come to think of it, we are more than a month in this movement control order. We anticipate that our MOH will make suggestion to our Prime Minister whether to make extension or to lift the MCO in a day or two. Based on analysis, it might be lifted but by phases in order to curb the situation. Whatever the decision it is, I just hoped that it will be lifted with great emphasis on social distancing and caring of personal hygiene at the highest level.
Speaking of which, working from home and conducting online meeting. This is my third session and all I can say is that, troublesome. The slowness of the bandwidth makes the meeting quite slow and low quality.
Regardless, the meeting went well. It was crowded and small background noises which interupted focus.
The meeting held involved all our departments all over Malaysia. We used Zoom but we will change most probably with Google Meet because there are news reported leaked customer's personal information.
How was the online meeting?
My personal experience is that it was ok. Small hiccups but manageable. Companies was seen to able to coop with the need to do online meeting. It was fun because we managed to discuss a lot of things.
I feel that switching to Google Meet may resovle the issue arised. However, Google is fastening to create better experience with Google Meet. To date, there wasn't any updates in regards to this matter.
Google Meet was not designed to be more customizable which showed basic settings.
There was a lot of debate recently between using Zoom or Meet during this semi-lockdown. Issues such as leaked information and low level of security has back-fired Zoom. Many actually do not realized, Meet also has the same threat. Personally for me, to be safe from this software requires you to be careful. Only then we can feel total secured.
I will continue using Meet all because of the simplicity of it.
