Bradley Beal... Jeremi Grant... Kevin Love... All of these guys are out due to either health and safety protocol or injury. Needless to say that things are getting a bit confusing for the future of team USA.
My replacement recommendations:
Beal --> Trae Young
Grant --> Demar Derozan
Kevin Love --> Myles Turner
Young may admittedly struggle without the ability to flop and draw fouls, but he is still a great player and has a decent chance to get buckets in this upcoming tournament if they bring him on.
Demar is absolute money from the mid-range and though his game may conflict with Khris Middleton, I don't really know what team wouldn't want this guy on their squad. He hits every shot he takes inside the three point line it is nuts.
Myles Turner is consistently under the radar in the NBA, he actually was number two in the league for blocks I believe behind Gobert. With the turnstile-like defense of guys like Lillard, Durant and hypothetically Trae Young, team USA needs a presence on the defensive end.
What do you think, who should replace these three stars who had to drop out of the tournament?
