I just read a great piece by @belemo that can be found here

What Was It About?

This article was all about taxation in cryptocurrency and how it relates to liquidity mining or staking rewards like we have with Cub Finance. @belemo discusses that there are certain places around America that tax cryptocurrency differently and some are deciding that the unsold staking rewards that are generated as passive income need to be taxed before even being sold in a market.

What I Liked:

I found myself in agreement with the takes put forth by @belemo It does not make all that much sense to tax something that is being held but not sold. When we look at the stock market, people are taxed when they recognize profits and when they receive dividends on their holdings via one specific and publicly announced date. If the government is attempting to tax crypto that is earned through staking or liquidity mining, there is a new number to report every single second. The rapid pace of the crypto market brings in a lot of ambiguity and a lot of tough decisions when it comes to the numbers. @belemo did a good job of clearly stating their opinion on the matter and provides examples as well!

This article did well to inspire a lot of engagement and discussion as there were 10 comment threads posted under it! Topics such as taxation are in my opinion usually either very boring or very politically charged; this piece was informative and was also realistic in the way it approached the situation. Right now, taxes are an unavoidable part of the world we live in whether we like them enough, @belemo did well to keep a clear head and provide some logical reasoning as to what the proper ways of doing this should be if it needs to be done!
