It feels like muting someone who you disagree with is much more healthy for the ecosystem than downvoting is. If we start to see too many of these downvoting wars there may be hesitancy produced and it may stifle innovation. Better to just keep the people you don't approve of off of your feed and out of your mind. Better for everyone and much less drama
