Introduction:

Life has absolutely thrown me for a loop as of late. Lots of chaos, lots of difficult situations and worst of all lots of confusion regarding next steps forward. Through all of this I have come to realize the value of a plan of some sort, whether loose or strict in nature.

I mentioned in the past that I was making the decision to study for the Law School Admissions Test and apply for school. Well that plan got about halfway to fruition and then fell off. I am now looking at it with a new-found motivation and know that it is something that I want to do. Over the next few months I plan on restudying for the test and attempting to improve on my score to make it into law school for the next year.

Why Law School?

Well, I think my answer for this is quite simple: you can't be a lawyer in America without passing the Bar exam and the large majority of people who pass that exam hold a Juris Doctorate in some form of Law. I know that some things that I am finding myself to be passionate in would be best helped by being involved with the legal field.

Obviously being on a financial blogging site, I have shown you all that I have a clear interest in the field, namely the cryptocurrency aspects of that field. I have written about it once before a few months ago, but cryptocurrency specializations in law are incredibly rare at the moment. That follows logically due to the fact that laws are still so ambiguous for the entire field, however that will not always be the case. Regulation is absolutely coming and that is something that I feel like I can contribute to if I improve upon my knowledge of both law and crypto regulations.

If we are going to let a bunch of dummies crafting regulations in America that will determine how cryptocurrency is viewed and handled, I figure I might as well be one of them.

Where Will Crypto And Law Meet?

I think that there will be numerous situations in the future that go beyond the crafting of regulations where there will be people in legal courts.

For example, situations may arise due to a disconnect in say the taxation policies for a crypto or for government agencies attempting to overstep their bounds in a constitutional sense. There will be a lot of debate to be had regarding legal definitions and policies and I want to be one of the people having those debates.

With the rapidly evolving nature of not only cryptocurrency but also my personal goals in this world, who knows where I'll really be this time next year. However, I have this loose plan now and I am going to pursue it with everything I have; at worst I guess I get really good at a dumb standardized test...
