I have been away from the computer for a while, but got some notifications on Twitter this morning about some crazy price action for the Hive token yesterday.
It appears that the Koreans love Hive more than anyone else in the world...
I never imagined we would see a 24 hour volume of over 1.5 billion USD for our token and the fact that around 75% is coming from one location leads me to believe it may have been a really wealthy individual or collective of some kind that is looking to make a name for themselves on the blockchain. Either that, or thousands of people were just made aware of Hive and are wanting to get themselves a stake in the action. If anyone knows the definitive answer, I would personally love to know.
Having the ability to be able to earn really solid money now from writing articles is something that will be very liberating in terms of creating a new career or side hustle for yourself and providing life changing money to people writing from countries where it is difficult to get ahead financially.
Many on here recognize that cryptocurrency is a great equalizer, and I am inclined to agree. Sure you can gamble on what coins will be successful, that might make you rich; but what is very important in my eyes is the ability to bring in a consistent return on your time and effort, this is something that Hive is enabling users to do. If this price boost is any indication for the future of the ecosystem, we see that there is a massive amount of potential in continuing to write articles and blog about the things that are important in our lives, it is something that with consistency can really change things. $1 Hive is a great start, hopefully it is a level that can be held going forward.
