The great aspect of blogging and earning some rewards every day is the ability to grow your holdings through pseudo-dollar-cost-averaging... If that is even a correct way to phrase a word.
Though you are not buying the assets, you are accumulating Hive and HBD in a ratio that matches the market prices of the two assets. If Hive is going up, you'll get paid out in more HBD than HP, and vice versa (though we hope that doesn't happen because we are working with a stablecoin that means either we're wildly off the mark, or Hive is dipping).
So by writing something every day, you inch closer to your goals at a nice varied rate.
Well what are your goals?
I am trying to earn a certain amount of Hive per year. I had to sell a little bit to cover some personal expenses, but that doesn't change the overall goal of trying to make 2,500 Hive rewards this year.
How difficult will that be?
Very!
Don't get me wrong here, 2,500 Hive rewards is a fair bit to accumulate as a smaller account on Hive, but it is certainly within reach.
To get 2,500 Hive per year, you need to earn approximately 6.85 Hive in author rewards between HP and HBD on each post if you are to post each day of the year. Well sometimes you will do this and sometimes you won't. People have a certain amount of voting mana and some days you just won't get hit with the curation trails; it absolutely does not mean you should stop putting out content because the very next day could be your biggest hit.
It's all about seeking out that average that will match your goal earnings over time.
Another aspect of this is curation. If you are accumulating Hive Power, your curation rewards will continue to rise and help you lower the necessary amount you NEED to make blogging on average by adding in those in.
All it takes is some effort here on Hive. The big accounts aren't only upvoting posts that are novels or seemingly written by experts (though you should strive to post like that, I know I want to put more work in going forward), anyone can make it here on Hive; just keep working at it.
