Crazy Funding Happening Crazy Often

It is certainly no surprise that there is abundance in this new world of magic internet money, but the extent to which that is true is mind-boggling.

In some discussions with @axiebuzz earlier in the week, I was introduced to a game known as Guild of Guardians. This is a fantasy RPG game where players collect monsters as NFT's and compete in battles to win money; a concept that is wildly similar to Splinterlands but different in it's own ways.

Now don't get me wrong, the game looks like it will be really cool and the animations and promotions were expertly put together. However, the amount of money that the founder's were able to raise without actually having a physical game to show investors yet is crazy. Guild of Guardians pre-sold in-game items and characters for a whopping 3.2 million USD! I REPEAT, THE GAME DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST YET.

It also seems like they are planning on holding more sales for more in game items.

I did not realize how common of an occurrence this actually is. In my mind, a game needed to be built already to bring in such heavy amounts of funding, but my mind was absolutely wrong. Apparently, the only thing that needs to be done is a good amount of marketing work and the drafting of a whitepaper outlining the game and roadmaps for it.

This is an incredible phenomenon when you think about it because it is democratizing who has the ability to make a video game or blockchain-based game. Even if you have a great idea or are a skilled coder, you need capital in order to create the game to the best of your ability; with this new wave of crowdfunding it has become possible for anyone with a quality idea to acquire the resources they need to bring it to life.

We are living in an era where it is becoming easier and easier for great ideas to make it big time. If you are sitting on a great idea or are thinking about all of the reasons why your ideas won't succeed, toss that belief to the side and get out there. There are ways for every single one of us to grow our wealth, businesses, ideas and dreams right now... Don't miss your chance!
