One thing that I have been really pushing myself to get into more is reading books. I feel as if when I was younger I read way more often than I do now (excluding work for University/school and blogging). I have just gotten two books from the local library, one for entertainment and one to try to learn something.
The first book that I got is the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. It is about the transition of Afghanistan from a monarchy to a republic from the eyes of an upper class citizen who was a child during that transition.
The second book I got is The Complete Idiot's Guide To T'ai Chi & QiGong by Bill Douglas. I got this one because I have heard that there are many health benefits to doing T'ai Chi that go far beyond physical health benefits. It is apparently a great way to approach stress and exhaustion and from the first few chapters I can confirm there are an insane amount of benefits to doing T'ai Chi; I just have to start doing it as well.
According to the Chicago Tribune, people are still reading at the same rates that they have for a long time. Well over 70% of Americans have read a book over the last 12 months despite the misconception that people are rejecting books to read short articles and microblog. Thus, I would assume that books are still selling at a very steady rate, whether those be paper version or digital.
What books have you read recently? What was your purpose in reading them? I know that there are many great books when it comes to finance and money management, but there is actually not so many on cryptocurrency other than the big hits. If anyone knows where I can find some interesting literature on crypto, I would love to know!
