The history of the development of Egyptian culture began at the end of the third millennium BC. Ancient Egyptian culture, which more than once rescued itself from foreign invaders, could survive until the introduction of Christianity, at the beginning of the fourth century.
The history of Egyptian gods for all time of its existence has undergone a number of significant changes. Over time, the Egyptian gods became more and more like people, representatives of neighboring nationalities - the Hittites, the Hellenes.
Such a large number of different gods could only lead to strife and separatism of the country. In addition, such a wide distribution of various cults required a lot of money to conduct ritual ceremonies, which, with much greater benefit, could be spent on the development of the country and raising its army.
For many centuries, the culture of ancient Egypt was forgotten. Only at the beginning of the XIX century, the linguist F. Champollion was able to explain Egyptian texts, and Egyptian culture became an object of increased attention among scholars and historians.
