Ven a conocer la "Ciudad Mural" en La Asunción 🎨💕 [Esp/Eng]

Hace unas semanas ya que en uno de nuestros paseos por La Asunción me encontré con algo que me sorprendió muchísimo, porque apenas había pasado un mes de nuestra última visita y la verdad no podía entender en qué momento se hizo todo este cambio que llenó de color e historia las calles del casco histórico, les hablo del proyecto que han denominado Ciudad Mural, desarrollado en conjunto por entes del estado y sociedad civil a través de diferentes organizaciones. Un proyecto que habla de la riqueza cultural de nuestra tierra y por supuesto del inmenso talento de su gente, y es que han convertido en arte las calles de La Asunción.

A few weeks ago on one of our walks through La Asuncion I came across something that surprised me a lot, because it had barely been a month since our last visit and the truth is that I could not understand at what time all this change was made that filled the streets of the historic center with color and history, I am talking about the project called Ciudad Mural, developed jointly by state agencies and civil society through different organizations. A project that speaks of the cultural richness of our land and of course the immense talent of its people, and is that they have turned the streets of La Asuncion into art.

Ha sido un trabajo realmente increíble, sobre todo tomando en cuenta la magnitud del mismo,ya que cubre de murales calles completas de los alrededores de La Plaza, así que si antes era hermoso visitarla, ahora definitivamente es una experiencia que no te puedes perder porque es arte, arte pura en cada pared, pero un arte con propósito, porque como les dije arriba, es historia, nuestra historia plasmada a lo largo de cada calle donde puedes ver desde personajes importantes de nuestra independencia, hasta representantes de la cultura de nuestro pueblo, reflejando por ejemplo la pesca artesanal, incluida la búsqueda de perlas que en su momento fue parte importante de la economía del estado, y así se van paseando por la flora, la fauna y tradiciones de nuestra mágica isla.

Una cosa que me encantó es que el trabajo de estos artistas ocupe calles enteras, incluidas las fachadas de las casa que han quedado completamente camuflajeadas bajo capas de pintura, porque incluso las puertas han sido pintadas, lo que hace que caminar por sus calles de por sí ya hermosas sea una experiencia de otro nivel. Es caminar a través de la historia.

It has been a really incredible job, especially taking into account the magnitude of it, since it covers complete streets around La Plaza with murals, so if before it was beautiful to visit it, now it is definitely an experience you can not miss because it is art, pure art on every wall, but art with purpose, because as I said above, it is history, our history captured along each street where you can see from important characters of our independence, to representatives of the culture of our people, reflecting for example the artisanal fishing, including the search for pearls that at the time was an important part of the economy of the state, and so they are walking through the flora, fauna and traditions of our magical island.

One thing I loved is that the work of these artists occupies entire streets, including the facades of the houses that have been completely camouflaged under layers of paint, because even the doors have been painted, which makes walking through its already beautiful streets an experience of another level. It is walking through history.

No les sabría decir si el proyecto está finalizado o si piensan cubrir más espacio, lo que sería realmente genial, pero todo lo que vi en esa oportunidad fue simplemente espectacular, y por supuesto tengo mis preferidos tanto por el uso del color como por el significado o lo que se representa, y creo que sin dudas mi favorita es esta que les comparto abajo, que aparte de estar llena de colores vibrantes, muestra una ilusión óptica bastante genial creada con la extensión de la pintura a la acera y parte de la carretera y que solo puedes notar si te alejas un poco.

De hecho les cuento que yo lo noté cuando me alejé para tomar la foto, es un efecto 3D bastante genial, y por supuesto el ojo en el centro del pez, esa es una mirada que sin dudas te atrapa, o por lo menos lo hizo conmigo. Una pintura que si detallan esconde la puerta, ventanas y hasta el medidor eléctrico de la casa de una manera tan increíble que fácilmente pasan desapercibidas.

I could not tell you if the project is finished or if they plan to cover more space, which would be really great, but everything I saw on that occasion was simply spectacular, and of course I have my favorites both for the use of color and for the meaning or what is represented, and I think my favorite is undoubtedly this one that I share below, which apart from being full of vibrant colors, shows a pretty cool optical illusion created with the extension of the paint to the sidewalk and part of the road and you can only notice if you move away a little.

In fact I tell you that I noticed it when I moved away to take the picture, it's a pretty cool 3D effect, and of course the eye in the center of the fish, that's a look that certainly catches you, or at least it did with me. A painting that if you detail it hides the door, windows and even the electric meter of the house in such an incredible way that they easily go unnoticed.

Otra de mis favoritas es esta belleza que nos lleva en un viaje al pasado y nos recuerdo a los buzos que arriesgaban sus vidas tras las perlas maravillosas, riqueza de nuestros mares. En esta pueden ver a un buzo con los trajes que utilizaban en esa época y que pueden ver en el Museo Marino en Boca del Río, y en el "Museo Nueva Cádiz" en la Asunción.

De esta fachada me encanta la cara del buzo, los colores que usaron para reflejar esa piel curtida por el sol fue realmente espectacular, al igual que su mirada y lo enrojecido de sus ojos, y justo al lado se puede ver a un conquistador Español que en su momento usaban a los indígenas de la isla para la extracción de perlas. Un trabajo en verdad lleno de historia.

Another of my favorites is this beauty that takes us on a trip to the past and reminds us of the divers who risked their lives after the wonderful pearls, richness of our seas. In this one you can see a diver with the costumes they used at that time and that you can see in the Museo Marino in Boca del Río, and in the "Museo Nueva Cádiz " in La Asunción.

From this facade I love the face of the diver, the colors they used to reflect that tanned skin by the sun was really spectacular, as well as his look and the redness of his eyes, and right next to it you can see a Spanish conquistador who at the time used the natives of the island for the extraction of pearls. A work really full of history.

No quiero decir con esto que no me gustaron las demás, sino que estas fueron las que sin dudas hicieron clic conmigo, pero por supuesto hay muchas más que me encantaron, como por ejemplo una que se encuentra en la calle del Centro de Artes Omar Carreño, donde se encuentra un grafitti enorme en el que se honran a diferentes personalidades de la isla y que me encanta justamente por el estilo del grafitti que siempre me ha gustado, por el uso del color y lo llamativos que son, de verdad es toda una obra de arte.

Otra de las fachadas que amé muestra las aves de nuestra región, desde la emblemática cotorra margariteña hasta los alcatraces reyes tanto del cielo como de nuestros mares, y no puedo dejar de mostrarles esta belleza donde podemos ver el rostro de una mujer en el que se mezclan las olas del mar y podemos ver tanto a una cotorra margarireña como una cayena, flor que representa nuestra isla.

I do not mean by this that I did not like the others, but these were the ones that undoubtedly clicked with me, but of course there are many more that I loved, such as one that is on the street of the Omar Carreño Arts Center, where there is a huge graffiti in which different personalities of the island are honored and that I love precisely because of the style of graffiti that I have always liked, for the use of color and how striking they are, it really is a work of art.

Another of the facades that I loved shows the birds of our region, from the emblematic cotorra margariteña to the gannets, kings of both the sky and our seas, and I can not fail to show you this beauty where we can see the face of a woman in which the waves of the sea are mixed and we can see both a cotorra margarireña and a cayenne, a flower that represents our island.
