Making time where there is none, to share with great friends is really necessary, and that's exactly what I did last Saturday when we went to celebrate Arturo's birthday. My son Matias' best friend and my dear friend Claudimar's oldest son.
Happy #familyandfriends day, I hope your week is off to a great start. Today I visit you to share with you a very nice experience that I could live with my son Matias, and great friends on Saturday.
It was the celebration of the 13th birthday of his friend Arturo, whom he has known since he was 5 years old and they have a very nice friendship, and me with his mom. In fact in my blog you will find a few entries where both families are protagonists of outings and great moments.
The thing is that on Friday, Arturo had his birthday and decided to celebrate it on Saturday, but not in the conventional way, but as the "big" boys are doing lately... with an outing to the movies. And although I was super committed with a delivery for the next day, of course I opened a space to accompany them.
The movie selected was the latest spiderman movie and together with Arturo's other classmates they were ready to enter the movie theater alone for the first time.
The joy of the children was unquestionable, and the concern of the parents too! Seven children between 10 and 13 years old, who had never entered a movie theater alone, was a little stressful for all the "chicken" moms who were there, but they were happy, and that was the idea.
So after buying tickets, cotufas, drinks, and many recommendations on how to behave we let a group of youngsters enjoy their special moment.
Claudi and I had intended to stay in the waiting room of the movie theater, but Claudi's husband flatly refused, so we went to a nearby restaurant for cocktails, snacks, and good conversation.
At that moment I was happy to have put the chores at home on hold and to be able to enjoy the time with friends, because it is definitely an incredible energy recharge.
Unfortunately, when you have a good time, time flies, and before we knew it, amidst all the talking and laughing, it was fifteen minutes before the end of the kids' show, so we headed back to the mall.
The kids left the movie theater happy, feeling super grown up for having gone in alone, but immediately they went back to their childhood, the one that refuses to leave them, and started running around the mall playing "el tocadito ".
They even played chess for a while, as some tables had chess boards set up. They returned to the table for their video game encounter and had dinner, while we sat down with another group of friends to continue chatting.
The evening ended after 9:00pm, and I got home straight to work, and there was so much to do that I had to work non-stop until 5:30am on Sunday, but it was definitely worth it, because both adults and children had a great time.
The time with friends is unparalleled.

Hacer tiempo de donde no lo hay, para compartir con grandes amigos es realmente necesario, y justo eso hice el sábado pasado cuando nos fuimos a celebrar el cumple de Arturo. Mejor amigo de mi hijo Matías e hijo mayor de mi querida amiga Claudimar.
Feliz día gente linda de #familyandfriends, espero que su semana haya arrancado súper bien. El día de hoy les visito para compartir con ustedes una experiencia bastante linda que pude vivir junto a mi hijo Matías, y grandes amigos el día sábado.
Se trata de la celebración del cumple número 13 de su amigo Arturo, a quien conoce desde los 5 años y los une una muy bonita amistad, y a mí con su mamá. De hecho en mi blog se van a encontrar unas cuantas entradas donde ambas familias son protagonistas de salidas y momentos geniales.
El caso es que el día viernes, Arturo estuvo de cumple y decidió celebrarlo el sábado, pero no de la manera convencional, sino como los chicos "grandes" están haciendo ultimamente... con una salida al cine. Y aunque yo estaba súper comprometida con una entrega para el día siguiente, por supuesto que abrí un espacio para acompañarlos.
La película seleccionada fue la última de spiderman y junto a otros compañeros de Arturo se dispusieron a entrar solos por primera vez al cine.
La alegría de los chicos era indiscutible, y la preocupación de los padres también!! Siete niños de entre 10 y 13 años, que nunca habían entrado solos a una sala de cine, era algo estresante para todas las mamás "gallinas" que estábamos ahí, pero ellos se sentían felices, y esa era la idea.
Así que después de comprar entradas, cotufas, bebidas, y muchas recomendaciones sobre cómo comportarse dejamos a un grupo de jovencitos disfrutar de su momento especial.
Claudi y yo, teníamos la intención de quedarnos en la sala de espera del cine, pero el esposo de Claudi se negó rotundamente, así que nos fuimos a un restaurante cercano por unos cocteles, algo para picar, y buena conversación.
En ese momento me sentí feliz de haber puesto en espera las tareas en casa y poder disfrutar del tiempo con amigos, porque definitivamente es una recarga de energía increíble.
Lamentablemente cuando te la pasas bien, el tiempo vuela, y sin darnos cuenta entre tanta habladera y risas, faltaban quince minutos para que finalizara la función de los chicos, así que nos regresamos al centro comercial.
Los chicos salieron felices del cine, sintiéndose súper grandes por haber entrado solos, pero de inmediato volvieron a su niñez, esa que se niega a abandonarlos y comenzaron a correr por todo el centro comercial jugando "el tocadito".
Incluso jugaron ajedrez un rato, ya que algunas mesas tenían dispuestos tableros de ajedrez. Volvieron a la mesa para su encuentro con los video juegos y cenaron, mientras nosotros nos sentamos con otro grupo de amigos a seguir conversando.
La velada terminó pasadas las 9:00pm, y llegué a casa directo a trabajar, y era tanto lo que tenía por hacer que me dieron las 5:30am del día domingo trabajando sin parar, pero definitivamente valió la pena, pues tanto grandes como chicos la pasamos excelente.
El tiempo con amigos, no tiene comparación.
