Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
While I was sipping a cup of coffee in the morning, I was suddenly surprised by the haze that seemed to cover almost my entire village. At first, I thought the smoke was coming from rubbish being burned by people in the surrounding area. At exactly 10:00 am, I set off for the town of Kuala Simpang to buy some necessities. The thick haze was clearly visible all along the road and had already begun to interfere with visibility.
It was only then that I realized this haze was caused by forest and land fires in Kalimantan. It turned out that the haze had already started reaching Aceh on October 13–14, 2026, but this was the first time I had experienced it becoming so severe and reducing visibility so drastically.
Previously, I also received information from my friend in Malaysia that the thick haze had reached there as well, even forcing several schools to close due to the poor weather conditions. Besides Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and several other countries in Southeast Asia have also been affected by the haze.
The roads also looked unusually quiet, even though it was only 1 pm .The haze was so thick that it even blocked the sunlight. The Aceh government has also urged people to wear masks when going outdoors, reduce outdoor activities, and continue to take care of their health.
Over the past few days, heavy rain has also been falling in Aceh Tamiang, and several villages have once again experienced minor flooding. Even the water level beneath the Kuala Simpang Bridge has nearly overflowed. Now, we are faced with extreme weather conditions and thick haze. All I want to say is this: Get well soon, my beloved homeland.
I briefly stopped on the Kuala Simpang Bridge to take a look at the surrounding scenery. Even the buildings in the distance were obscured by the haze. For the sake of my health, I decided not to stay outdoors for too long. After capturing a few photos of the scenery, I immediately decided to head back home.
The haze is also very dangerous to our health because it contains fine particles that can enter our lungs, especially if we spend too much time outdoors.
The scenery around the rice fields was also covered in haze. The atmosphere, which was once peaceful and refreshing, has now turned into something frightening. According to information I received from some of my friends, several areas in Aceh are experiencing extremely thick haze, which has significantly reduced visibility.
And now, I rarely go out and spend most of my time at home, only occasionally visiting a friend's house to beat the boredom. However, the thick haze is no excuse to stop working. 😉
