TEA MOSQUITO BUG // Capturing the Beauty of a Tea Mosquito Bug Through Macro Photography
Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️
Let me introduce you to a "Tea Mosquito Bug" that most likely belongs to the "Miridae" family. This is a small insect that has a very unique body shape — its body is slender and elongated, and it has a needle-like structure around its mouth that is often used to pierce plant tissues and then suck up their fluids and sap. This insect also has very beautiful colors, with bright orange on the chest and abdomen, a shiny black color on its head, and it is also decorated with black spots on the sides of its abdomen.
Amazing details can be seen directly when we look at it from a close distance, and the most interesting part is that it has two very long, thread-like antennae. I myself managed to find this insect by the roadside near a rice field area. Finding an object as beautiful as this is a piece of luck, and capturing its beauty is a must.
Although it is small in size, this insect has very fast movements and can fly away and disappear behind the leaves. I managed to capture the beauty of this insect while it was resting on a wildflower. It was not too difficult for me to capture its beauty, but it kept moving, which almost tested my patience.
I was not in a hurry to photograph this insect from a close distance. Even the slightest mistake could make it feel disturbed and fly away. I kept considering the distance step by step, and I also used my usual method for photographing this insect, which is taking a very large number of photos.
It kept moving to avoid my macro lens, but those movements were exactly what allowed me to capture its beauty from many different angles. Its colors looked very striking under the sunlight, and I was also so excited to capture such beauty.
Generally, this insect is not dangerous to humans. Although it looks like a mosquito because of its needle-shaped mouthpart (rostrum), it is not a true mosquito that likes to suck human blood.
But this insect is purely an agricultural pest and becomes a major enemy for farmers. This insect can pierce its rostrum into plant tissues, such as young shoots that are still soft, and then suck up their fluids and sap.
And the most exciting part was when I tried to capture the beauty of this insect from the front. It looked so beautiful, with a body structure that made it look like an apex predator. Its colors also made this insect look even more intimidating.
