From this discovery, I became even more aware that sometimes the greatest wonders in nature are not born from something magnificent or large, but instead from things that are so small that they often go unnoticed, such as this tiny insect that I managed to find. This is a coccid beetle, a beetle that has a round shape, a hard shell, and also has very beautiful colors, namely black and red. I managed to find this beetle on a wild plant behind my house. Its small size also caught my attention and encouraged me to preserve its beauty well. One of the choices I could make was to photograph this beetle using a macro lens.
The presence of this beetle not only brings beauty, because this beetle is a natural enemy of aphids and mealybugs. The good news is that the population of this beetle is still considered quite stable in my area, so we can also find it quite easily.
At that moment, I tried to capture the beauty and uniqueness of this beetle as well as I could. It kept moving but did not fly, so I only needed to do it carefully and with precision. Under the afternoon sunlight, I achieved a very satisfying result, and every detail of this beetle could be seen quite clearly.
I am quite sure that this beetle realized that I was approaching it, yet it did not show any aggressive behavior or feel threatened. All it did was give me the perfect angle to capture its beauty.
I also still have one more small subject, but this time it is not an insect, but a very beautiful wild flower.
I do not know the name of this flower, but what I do know is that it is a wild flower that grows under nature's own care. This flower is blessed with a very beautiful purple color, and once again, it is a small subject, so its beauty is often overlooked. If we look at this flower from a close enough distance, we will be able to see something truly amazing that has always been around us.
