This is such a classic film. Guy Pearce used to go to the school I worked at for 13 years. I was watching a film the other day with an odd timeline - perhaps a sci fi, I couldnt remember - and reading Reddit afterwards, I was struck by how many people could not understand the plot and were confused. Others suggested it was because they only half watch, and the rest of the time they are on their phones. Memento was ground breaking at the time - not many films had done such things before (there WERE a few but this was quite notable).
