Sorry I took so long to get to this. I usually come to you when you come comment on mine as I've been so slack with Hive in general (unless I'm at work with nothing else to do!).

My courgettes did the same thing as yours this year. I think perhaps a pollinator issue? When I started pollinating by hand, getting the male flowers to rub against the female ones, I had better success.
