it appears like the end of the universe. first the letters disappear. we had silent aitches, but now we don't know what letters will be silent - the ones that spelt 'dissent' or 'care for nature'. we would call it orwellian but we have forgotton to read. like our thoughts, which we have given to other intelligences, the rivers are drying up now.
