I'm sure it's the same in Ireland as the UK, but I always loved how England, when the summer hit, was alive with colour - wildflowers like primroses but also the stuff that seeds from gardens like bright poppies in the cracks of the road or tons of pots with all kinds of flowers, roses, and so on. It's like the grey of winter has to be totally wiped out with the brightness of flowers.
