This week's #hivegardenqotw is an easy one - draw a map of your garden, and tell us what's good about it, and what you'd change (if anything!). I've been meaning to do this for a while as I always wonder if my posts make sense to people. So, here's my garden plan!

What I love about the layout is that I have both a soil bed and raised beds - one day, maybe I won't have the mobility to reach down to the soil, but for now, I may as well make use of the space. This weekend Jamie's moving more veggie mix soil onto the soil beds as it's super sandy and I need a head start reinforcing the soil and improving the structure and fertility. Plus I have more space, as I've already planted out the raised beds entirely.

So far, I haven't found anything I don't really like about this layout, although some access steps into the raised area would be good. I do wish I didn't have marauding thieving possums and birds though - it'd look prettier without all the bird nets, right?

I know I was meant to have one photo but I couldnt' fit it all in

Right, that's three hundred words! Now, show me your garden map!

Hi, my name is riverflows@riverflows and I help facilitate the Hive Gardeners group here on the Hive blockchain. You can find us here. I live in a warm temperate climate near the coast in Australia. I really love growing our own food and medicinal herbs, native plants, and creating good soil for resilient plants.
