RE: Making memories in the chaos
Friend, I'd love to have dinner with your family. You are my favourite Hive family - I love the genuine, deep affection you have for each other, but also for others. No wonder the chef wants to sit down

RE: Breakfast of Champions, a freewrite
I do like salad, but probs not for brekky. I do like savoury - I think congee is my favourite! - but tend to yoghurt, homemade muesli and berries or in winter, oranges...

I love caramelised onions - no one thinks an onion is sweet, but they are!

RE: Cauliflower Chocolate
IT LOOKS AMAZING. I've seen it done with powdered cacao, cauli and broccoli and banana - that way you can add your own sweetener I guess. Yours looks like fudge! Yum.

RE: Swan Song For a Yellowjacket?
We NEVER have to deal with such things! Occasionally there's a dingo attack on an island used to tourists feeding them (du'oh) but that's it. Perhaps we need some to keep us on our toes.

RE: South Indian food is pure comfort on a plate - Fresh, fearless and plant-based,
Idli and dosa are common here in South Indian restaurants. I do love SI food - I grow a curry plant for this reason! I've never had curd rice before - sounds amazing.

RE: Swan Song For a Yellowjacket?
I'm right down south so it's less likely to get them. They're asshats, that's for sure. But seriously, we aren't the most dangerous country (certainly not down south where I am anyway). Wasps in the uk

RE: While Iβm Away in the Mountains, My Husband Keeps Our Vegetable Garden Growing
I always want to encourage people to start growing food. Even just a few containers with lettuce make a difference! I think people like you and me really see the benefits and we want other people to do

Is marang a kind of jackfruit? Gosh, you are rich really aren't you - this sounds amazing, and yes, the simple pleasures COUNT. Thanks for always sharing such wonderful posts from your country.

Oh goodness, you'd have quite a tiring time looking after four boys! Well, it's not babysitting your son, you're just being Dad and Uncle really... and sounds like crazy fun!

I love these photos! You have captured his spirit perfectly. The framing and colours are gorgeous, as is your son! I bet he'll become a great photographer like his Dad.

RE: Swan Song For a Yellowjacket?
We know them as europeon wasps, here. I had to look it up - I wasn't sure if we had yellowjackets but we sure as hell have those scary buggers! I'm not sure if I've ever willed myself to observe them closely,
