This is a thought provoking topic because it makes us question how well we really know ourselves
I agree that circumstances can change people's behavior and it's easy to judge others when we haven't experienced their situation
However I think there's also an important difference between understanding why someone acts a certain way and justifying what they do. Difficult circumstances may explain a person's choices, but they don't always make those choices right. Perhaps the real test of character is not simply having power, money or opportunities but being aware of how we use them and taking responsibility for our decisions.
