Max is inching toward the greater message here. This isn't about Palestine, Israel, Zionism or anything else. This is propaganda (brutal propaganda, but propaganda all the same) to inculcate the governed with the idea that governments may execute the governed without compunction, "as long as they have good reason". We are all indeed "Palestinians" in that we are the governed. We are the targets of the governments. Which government? THE government. There is only one. Like McDonald's with many franchises, the government has many franchises, but they all understand that the war is the government v the governed. And it has convinced the governed to believe that the enemy isn't the government, but each other.
