While I don't agree with all of Mr Krainer's ideas, I like his optimism. Maybe it is misplaced - maybe technology has advanced to the point where resistance will be impossible - but I believe that total predatory takeover of the wealth and freedom of humanity will be extremely difficult to execute and maintain.

I also agree with Mr Krainer in that the cultural similarities among the citizenry of the US and the citizenry of Russia are far more numerous than say, US citizens and "far east" citizens, and I do believe that an alliance (not MERGER, just an alliance) of the two is far more preferable than constant war. I do not believe that Trump would or even could bring that about - it will take many many decades to unwind the manufactured American hatred of a country that has historically been a great ally to the USA - but maybe someday....
