Sunflower Land - Is Auction Items the Solution?

The crypto farming game Sunflower Land has been in a state of total frenzy over the last few weeks, with the token price fluctuating wildly and impacting the entire marketplace. A new game from the Sunflower Land developers—which utilizes the game's "Flower" token—opened up a deposit feature; this caused a surge in token demand as players sought to earn airdrop points, driving the price up.

However, as the token price spiked, the token-denominated prices of marketplace items began to drop. The net gain remained roughly the same because, while the token value doubled, the token yield from resources was cut in half.

Now that the situation has normalized, those who wanted to buy the token for staking have already done so; this extra demand has leveled off, and the token price has started to fall. Meanwhile, the token prices of resources are rising, but at a slower pace. Consequently, those who sold resources earlier lost out, as those assets are now worth less. It’s a very confusing situation.

Amidst all this, Sunflower Land’s "Chapter 15: Ascension Age" is underway. Since earning tickets requires using resources, players are facing a dilemma: should they participate in the chapter or not? Should they sell their resources or hold onto them? To make matters worse, Stella items from the last two chapters have been trading below their cost price. In this scenario, could auction items be the solution?

One possible solution—though it guarantees nothing—is to hoard tickets to snag one of the chapter's items. The problem, however, is that since item quantities are limited, only the players with the highest totals will secure them; in doing so, they’ll be spending resources on tickets instead of trading them for flowers and capitalizing on the token's price surge...

If you aren't near the top of the leaderboard, your odds are slim. You’ll likely end up having to stick with the chapter to grab one of Stella's items—which, as I mentioned, haven't been great choices in recent chapters...

On the bright side, this chapter features plenty of interesting SFTs up for auction. Xeko put together a great list, categorizing the auction items into tiers. In Tier S, we have the Quarry and Ascended Idol, as they eliminate stone and salt production costs. Tier A includes the Salt Worker Gnome—which speeds up salt node readiness and yields +2 salt—as well as Autumn's Embrace (reducing crop time by 0.5 during autumn) and Surfer Hair (cutting the cost of aging fish by 50%, which is particularly useful for sharks);

In Tier B, we have the Alchemist Apron—which cuts Potion House costs by 50%—and the Rice Shirt, which lowers oil costs and grants +1 rice (great for rice farmers); the rest fall into Tier C. The Stella Astrolabe sits in Tier D, and the monuments are in Tier F, with the exception of the Cornucopia, which is in Tier C. A key detail is the limited supply; you might end up spending your flowers on resources without actually securing an item... Some "Miscellaneous" items have only 40 units available.

It is important to keep a close eye on the token, not just for the auction but for any game content that requires accumulating "flower" resources. These resources are worth increasingly less in terms of the flower token, meaning you earn fewer tokens within the game; while the token price is currently at a high, that may not always be the case.

If you hoard flower tokens now, the price could drop later, leaving you with fewer tokens that are worth less... Both the Stella SFTs and the auction items face this issue because ticket costs remained constant; there is a risk that, with the new game, demand for these items might be low, causing prices to fall below the cost incurred during the season...

O jogo crypto de fazenda sunflower land está uma completa loucura nessas últimas semanas, com o token subindo e caindo, impactando todo o marketplace. Agora já com a normalização da situação, quem queria comprar o token para stake já comprou e essa demanda extra deu uma estabilizada e o preço do token tem começado a cair, mas o preço dos recursos por mais que estejam aumentando em quantidade de tokens, não está sendo tão rápido. E nisso quem vendeu recurso antes, se prejudicou porque agora tá valendo menos. Tá bem confuso.

E no meio de tudo isso está acontecendo o capítulo 15 - Ascension Age do sunflower land e que para ganhar os tickets tem que usar os recursos e com isso ficou uma grande dúvida, participa ou não do capítulo, vende ou não vende os recursos... E para piorar tivemos os items de stella dos últimos dois capítulos sendo negociados abaixo do valor de custo deles. E nesse cenário, será que os items de leilão são a solução?

Uma possível solução, mas que não garante nada, é juntar os tickets para pegar algum dos items do capítulo, mas o problema é que como são quantidades limitadas de items, apenas os jogadores com maior quantidade vão conseguir eles, e para isso vão estar gastando mais recursos em tickets em vez de estarem trocando por flower e aproveitando o momento de alta do token...

Se você não estiver entre as primeiras posições do leaderboard as suas chances estão muito ruins e provável que você vai acabar tendo que continuar no capítulo para pegar algum dos items da Stella, que como mencionei não foram uma boa opção nos últimos capítulos...

Um ponto positivo é que nesse capítulo teremos muitos SFTs interessantes nos leilões. O Xeko fez uma lista interessante, categorizando os items do leilão em tiers. No tier S: Quarry e Ascended Idol, porque eles zeram o custo de produção de pedra e sal. No tier A temos o Salt Worker Gnome, que reduz o tempo do node de sal ficar pronto e dá +2 de sal, tem o Autumns Embrace que dá 0.5 crop time no autumn e o surfer hair que diminui o custo para aging fish em 50%, o que é interessante para os tubarões;

Já no tier B tem o Alchemist Apron que reduz o custo da potion house em 50%, e o Rice Shirt que diminui o custo do oleo e da +1 rice, ótimo para quem planta arroz; O restante está no tier C. Já o Stella Astrolabe está no D e os monumentos estão no F tirando o Cornucopia que está no C. Um detalhe é que há poucas quantidades e talvez você acabe gastando flowers com recursos e não consiga nenhum item... Diversos só tem 40 unidades.

Não só para o leilão, mas para qualquer conteúdo do jogo que exija do jogador que acumule recursos em flower é importante prestar atenção ao token. Os recursos estão cada vez valendo menos em token flower, o que significa que você está ganhando cada vez menos tokens no jogo, atualmente o preço do token está em uma máxima, mas isso pode não ser verdade para sempre.

Se você juntar os tokens flower nesse momento é possível que o token depois cai e você terá poucos tokens valendo menos... Tanto os SFTs da Stella como do leilão vão ter esse problema, porque o custo dos tickets se manteve o mesmo, com o risco de no fim com o novo jogo não ter demanda para eles e os preços serem abaixo do custo que teve durante a season...
