Kupiah meukeutop is a traditional hat originating from Aceh. These hats are generally used as a complement to traditional clothing for men while attending other traditional ceremonies and ceremonies. For the people of Aceh, the meukeutop is not only valued in terms of adat, but also full of historical value. Kupiah meukeutop is more diindentikkan with hat greatness that is often used by Teuku Umar, the national hero from Aceh province.
Kupiah meukeutop is made of red and yellow base colored fabric. The fabric is knitted into a single, circular shape. Suburban bottom, there are woven motifs combined with black, green, red and yellow. Matching similar in the middle, which is limited with a circle of green cloth on top and black cloth at the bottom.
In the circle of the lower head, there is a more dominant motif, which is shaped "lam" in hijaiyah. But there is a line that connects between the bottom and top of the motif. The same motif is also in the head circle at the top. It's just smaller in size. At the top, there is a white yarn crochet as a yellow crown of gold crown, three-story. The colors used have their own meaning.
