That too—the plot was so reused to the point that it's jarring to watch. Unfortunately, the series that I was able to watch first were the ones that had those cliche elements, thus making my impression of isekai bad. I already mentioned how I avoid it because I'm not really an enjoyer of the usual tropes it has. From the fan services to its generic characters, they just don't spark interest for me; that's why I just avoid anything that's related to it. However, this one is, I guess, a miracle that existed in the isekai genre. I definitely enjoyed it just as I usually enjoyed most of the shounen and seinen anime I've watched.
Yeah, the classics are definitely memorable in their own way—not only because of their art style but also because most of their plots are intriguing. For example, Belladonna of Sadness still leaves rent-free in my mind because of how affecting it was. They're so timeless and memorable that I wish that era would return, where most of the viewers weren't just fixated with visuals and fan services.
Anyway, thanks for the compliment, and hopefully you give this anime a try 😊
