I find those kinds of submissive protagonists so difficult to get into these days.
Yes, it's tough watching her act so submissive, but thankfully I had a New Year's resolution that no matter how unlikable an anime is going, if I started, I'll finish and review it. Seeing her progress at the end was definitely rewarding, and it did take a lot of tolerance to continue it.
Plus, Kai's "now yes, now no" attitude drove me crazy.
True! That infuriates me more than Uka's timidity. I definitely hate it when he goes super protective of her and then later on withdraws—it's totally giving false hope to her and a major red flag also. I even thought he's kinda a tsundere at some point because obviously he likes her, maybe he just doesn't wanna admit it. Thankfully my patience fueled me through the end, and above all confessions and sweet scenes, what made it all worth it was Uka's character improvement. Glad my patience wasn't wasted :)
Thanks for the compliment, btw, and hope to see you around!
