Janet was miserly, even to herself.
Things she wanted, she never spent to get.
She preyed on the gullible, to buy her things.
She beguiled her lovers for items she could afford easily.
She considered herself smart.
One day, it backfired in a repercussive way.
She had the chance to buy a dress, for her birthday party,
but she refused to pay for it with her own money.
The day she eventually found a guy to spend on her,
she saw the dress get wrapped for another lady.
She regretfully watched her dream dress leave the store with another lady.
