Overview
Poloniex has been coming under a regular DDos attack for up to a week now. I am confused on how a company of that nature will just relax while such happen on a regular basis.
It is not out of place for a website to be attacked but I am concerned about the frequency of these attacks and the seeming helplessness of poloniex as a company.
Impact
The impact of all the attackes is felt mostly by traders who have been bearing the brunt of the mindless attacks. Most of the times during these attacks, trading is disrupted and those on margin calls watch their fund go down the drain. On of the traders some moments ago said he was going to kill himself because as he said, he lost all his money on margin while the attack is going on.
Way Forward
I will advice every trader to trade with caution on poloniex till they get their acts together. We cannot just assume that everything is alright while they play with peoples' lives.
It will be wise to consider other quality exchange that has been relatively stable. There are a lot of them. May be when they witness mass exodus from their platform, they will do the needful.
Conclusion
Be wise as serpent and gentle as a dove. The frequent proclamation of attack by poloniex does not speak good of them. Their seemingly indifference to customers plight is not only callous but anti business. Every investor should find a way to safeguard his or her investment.
