As the name suggests, African daisies came from Africa originally - specifically southern Africa. As a result, they are well adapted to various climates, from mountains to low-altitude sands.
These beautiful blooms have become commonplace in gardens across the UK as bedding plants. The variety we have in our garden is known as "Tiger Stripes".
These are some of the easiest plants to grow and make for great bedding plants, cut flowers or indoor pot plants. They love the sun and will close up in the evening.
I find these beautiful plants that flower most of the year, bringing colour, warmth and brightness to bedding with a long flowering season.
