No estoy seguro de entender ni siquiera la mitad de cómo debes haberte sentido cuando eso sucedió. Nunca he experimentado un terremoto aquí en Cuba. Pero ya que dices que te provocó un trauma al sentir que no tenías escapatoria, es probable que más adelante intentes evitar los lugares o recuerdos relacionados a lo que pasó. Intenta no hacerlo, pues puede mantener el trauma. Espero que logres superarlo.

I'm not sure I can even begin to understand half of how you must have felt when that happened. I've never experienced an earthquake here in Cuba. But since you say it left you traumatized because you felt there was no escape, it's likely that later on you'll try to avoid places or memories related to what happened. Try not to do that, as it can keep the trauma alive. I hope you manage to overcome it.
