Hi steemians!
Yes, i know. Sometimes i talk about cryptos, sometimes i publish mental disorders, and now, a communist figure.
Well, when i start my steemit account my goal was to learn a bit more about what interest me. If i could share some knowledge to some of you, it would be great !
Let's start. As you may know Ernesto Guevara a.k.a Che Guevara is theoretician and tactician of guerrilla warfare, prominent communist figure in the Cuban Revolution.
He was a very passionate reader, matter in fact CIA consider "fairly intellectual for a latino"
Ernesto studied Medicine in Buenos Aires University! Within this time history says that Che Guevara and one friend visited most of South America and he soon realizes that many humans are treated like garbage.
Ernesto began to perceive Latin America as a single entity, beggin to be rescued from poverty, hunger and disease brought by the new colonist.
In 1954 Che met Raul and Fidel Castro and he joined Castro's '26th July Movement' and played a key role in the eventual success of its guerrilla war against Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista in 1959, that leed to the implantation of socialism.
At this time we joined the Castro government, and became in charge of La Cabaña Fortress prison, later, he became president of the Cuban national bank and helped to shift the country’s trade relations from the United States to the Soviet Union. Three years later, he was appointed minister of industry.
Guevara believes that the socialism revolution against the imperialism commanded by the United States, should be taken to others countries, in order to spread the marxism ideology.
In 1966, he began to try to incite the people of Bolivia to rebel against their government,
After some initial combat successes, Guevara and his guerrilla band found themselves constantly on the run from the Bolivian army. With only a small guerrilla force to support his efforts, Guevara was captured and killed in La Higuera by the Bolivian army on October 9, 1967.
One ironies of the legacy of Che Guevara that is the face of communist leader that is used in t-shirts in capitalist America.
The people who wear this shirt may be people who know who Guevara is and what he did, and they're actually communist or marxist, or just people who like this t-shirt and don't know what they're supporting, sometimes having capitalist ideals.
Guevara expounded a vision of a new socialist citizen who would work for the good of society rather than for personal profit, a notion he embodied through his own hard work.
Some curiosities about him
Cheers !
