This novel was one of the first books I read. But that's not why I rank it as one of my favorites among the Jules Verne books I've read. The reason why it is among my favorites I will tell you in this post.

What is it about?
It tells the story of Godfrey, nephew of a rich merchant, who wants to live adventures and travel the world before getting engaged. However, he is shipwrecked with his dance teacher on a virgin island. Gradually obstacles will appear that will make the young Godfrey rethink his former life.

Sin embargo, naufragó junto a su profesor de baile en una isla aparentemente virgen. Poco a poco aparecerán obstáculos que harán replantearse al joven Godfrey su vida anterior.
Impressions and curiosities of the book
It is a funny book, to tell the truth, it was one of the few books that Verne conceived as a parody. The beginning seems a bit strange and out of context, but the author plays from the beginning with mastery. He ties each piece together in an elegant way that deserves a standing ovation.
The novel is also one of the few that Verne pays tribute to another writer, in this case to Daniel Defoe with his Robinson Crusoe novel, it is a novel that I reread many times, so, I have it stored in the bottom of my heart.
Another interesting curiosity is that the novel was published under two names. Godfrey Morgan and A School for crusoe.
Es un libro divertido, a decir verdad, fue uno de los pocos libros que Verne concibió como parodia. El principio parece un poco extraño y fuera de contexto, pero el autor juega desde el principio con maestría. Une cada pieza de una manera elegante que merece una ovación a lo grande.
La novela también es una de las pocas que Verne rinde tributo a otro escritor, en este caso a Daniel Defoe con su novela de Robinson Crusoe, es una novela que releí muchas veces, por lo que, la tengo guardada en el fondo de mi corazón.
Otra curiosidad interesante es que la novela fue publicada con dos nombres. Godfrey Morgan y Escuela robinsones.
Writer's opinion
The novel is a clear example of balance, being categorized as a parody, its narrative is fluid, there is nothing forced in its plot thread. The humor is light. This does not leave out the other characteristic elements in Verne's books, the mysteries and enigmas stand out masterfully. To get to such a point without clashing any point we must be very aware of the elements that orchestrate, thus giving a beautiful and beautiful ending for the readers.
La novela es un claro ejemplo del equilibrio, siendo catalogada como parodia, su narrativa es fluida, no hay nada forzado en su hilo argumentativo. El humor es ligero. Esto no deja por fuera los otros elementos característicos en los libros de Verne, los misterios y los enigmas destacan de forma magistral. Llegar a tal punto sin desentonar ningún punto debemos ser muy conscientes de los elementos que orquestan, así dar un final bello y hermoso para los lectores.
