Saving is a word with Arabic origins that means "free". We all like the feeling of feeling free, but not everyone can save. It is a term closely linked to economics, planning and also dreams.

In September 2019 I officially became the father of a baby girl and since she was developing in her mother's womb my thoughts were lost in search of options that would allow me to face this great task that was approaching. Birthdays, fiften years old party, the three kings, walks in the park and a number of events that, like almost everything in life, have "money" in the middle.
But I said to myself, take it easy, you're going to go crazy and you're not even going to make it to fifteen party, so I came up with a somewhat fun way to save a little bit for when she was about 3 years old and could get on some of the park's rides, she had her little fund created. What I did was collect all the coins and three-peso bills and five-peso coins that fell into my hands. Every beginning is difficult, but it is more difficult to commit to not using the savings destined for my daughter no matter how bad the situation is. Believe me, my legs got loose a couple of times, but in the end I made it.
Anyone who reads this, especially if they are Cuban, will doubt that I could have done much with those savings, but they will be surprised by the tight spots they have taken me out of. Although I do not deny that inflation has eroded part of my effort, I have managed to get by on each outing to the Almendares Park, the Maestranza Park, Coney Island and similar parks. Of course, I will not lie to you by saying that with that "piggy bank" I pay for everything, its use is intended for the rides and entrance to the parks. Right now it costs up to 50 pesos to put a child on one of those machines they love so much; and Cuban boy who respects himself gives at least 2 turns on each one馃槀. Now the food is another level, which takes tickets of other denominations.
I urge you to try it, apply your own methods and set a goal. In the end, no matter how difficult it is, if you don't save you can't treat yourself to your little pleasures or cravings like buying a plane ticket. For those who are already waiting for a baby, like

Ahorrar es una palabra con origen 谩rabe que significa "libre". A todos nos gusta la sensaci贸n de sentirnos libres, pero no todos podemos ahorrar. Es un t茅rmino ligado estrechamente a la econom铆a, a la planificaci贸n y tambi茅n a los sue帽os.
En septiembre de 2019 me convert铆 oficialmente en padre de una beba y desde que se desarrollaba en el vientre de su madre mis pensamientos se perd铆an en b煤squeda de opciones que me permitieran afrontar esta gran tarea que se avecinaba. Los cumplea帽os, los quince, los reyes magos, los paseos al parque y un sin n煤mero de eventos que llevan como casi todo en la vida un "menudito" de por medio.
Pero me dije, c贸gelo suave, que te fundes y ni a los quince llegas, as铆 que se me ocurri贸 una forma un tanto divertida de ir ahorrando alguito para cuando ella tuviera 3 a帽itos m谩s o menos y pudiera montarse en algunos aparatos de los parques, tuviera su fondito creado. Lo que llev茅 a cabo fue reunir todas las monedas y billetes de 3 pesos y monedas de cinco pesos que me cayeran en las manos. Todo comienzo es dif铆cil, pero m谩s dif铆cil fue comprometerme a no utilizar los ahorros destinados a mi hija por muy mala que fuera la situaci贸n. Cr茅anme, las piernas se me aflojaron en par de ocasiones, pero al final lo logr茅.
Quien lea esto, sobre todo si es cubano, dudar谩 que haya podido hacer mucho con esos ahorros, pero se sorprender谩n de los aprietos que me han sacado. Aunque no niego que la inflaci贸n ha mermado parte de mi esfuerzo, he logrado agenci谩rmelas en cada salida al Parque Almendares, Parque de la Maestranza, Coney Island y parques similares. Eso s铆, no les mentir茅 diciendo que con esa "alcanc铆a" me lo pago todo, su uso est谩 destinado a los aparatos y entradas a los parques. Ahora mismo subir a ni帽@s a un aparato de esos que a ellos les encanta cuesta hasta 50 pesos; y ni帽o cubano que se respete da m铆nimo 2 vueltas en cada uno馃槀. Ya la comida es otro nivel, que lleva billeticos de otras denominaciones.
Les exhorto a que lo intenten, apliquen sus propios m茅todos y definan un objetivo. Al final por muy dif铆cil que est茅 todo, si no ahorras no puedes darte tus gusticos o gustones como llegar a comprarte el plane ticket. Para los que esperan ya un beb茅, como
